Accessibility statement

1. Our commitment

WAHU S.r.l., which operates the BeachStake service (beachstake.com), is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, in line with the W3C WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines and the European standard EN 301 549. BeachStake is a private service: this statement is provided voluntarily, not to fulfil a legal obligation, as part of our commitment to quality.

2. Conformance status

Partially conformant — WCAG 2.1 AA

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: most success criteria are met and the automated issues found in the latest review have been fixed. We use the wording “partially conformant” because a full manual audit by an independent external reviewer across all site journeys has not yet been completed.

3. What we checked and fixed

In the latest review (July 2026) we tested the main pages of both service versions with automated tools (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 AA) and manual checks on keyboard use and semantic structure. We fixed:

In-text links — links within paragraphs are now underlined and no longer distinguishable by colour alone (criterion 1.4.1 “Use of colour”);
Text contrast — some secondary text (labels, countdown, preview text) was darkened to reach the minimum required contrast ratio (criterion 1.4.3 “Contrast minimum”).

The site also uses: landmark structure and hierarchical headings, alternative text on informative images, full keyboard navigation with a visible focus state, relative units for text (resizable up to 200% without loss of content) and respect for the reduced-motion preference.

4. Non-accessible content and known limitations

Third-party documents: tenders, attachments and PDFs from public sources (Italian Official Gazette, municipal notice boards, town-hall websites) are published in their original format and may not be fully accessible. We do not control how they are authored.
Charts and previews: some decorative interface illustrations are illustrative only; the corresponding information is always available in text form as well.
Full manual audit: planned but not yet completed; criteria that can only be verified manually may not be fully met.

5. Assessment method

Conformance was assessed by self-assessment, combining automated testing (axe-core on a Chromium engine) and manual checks (keyboard navigation, reading order, contrast, text resizing). We review accessibility periodically and whenever the interface changes significantly.
